Cat. #005853: DAVE WILLOCK

Highly uncommon vintage inscribed blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1940s. In fine condition for its age, with a few flecks of soiling in spots. Lanky, gaunt-faced, flat-voiced character actor Dave Willock spent five decades playing amiable neighbors, buddies, doting dads, cabbies, milkmen, clerks, ushers, gossiping servants, and blue collar workers in over 200 films and television programs. He is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy fans for his roles in It Came from Outer Space (1953), Revenge of the Creature (1955), Queen of Outer Space (1958), What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962), The Nutty Profssor (1963), and Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964), and was also noteworthy in Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942), The Gang's All Here (1943), Spellbound (1945), Joe Palooka, Champ (1946), The Fabulous Dorseys (1947), The Delicate Delinquent (1957), The Geisha Boy (1958), The Ladies Man (1961), Send Me No Flowers (1964), The Patsy (1964), and The Disorderly Orderly (1964). His extensive T.V. work included appearances on "The Twilight Zone" (1960), "The Munsters" (1965), and "Green Acres" (1965-1970).
